Flutter Love
Nestablities hearts and hearts scallops make this simple design really come together. I made 8 of these for OWH butterfly lovers.

Owl Puns - I so love them
I embossed a great weight of vellum with a SU folder and stamped the punny sentiment in the corner. Then I ran a TH tea dye ink pad over the owl to make him pop.
Next I added brads for his eyes. All of this set on a beautiful damask DP made for 10 great cards for OWH heros to tell someone at home they are loved.

My favorite Stamp used again
This Fresh Vintage Stamp just can't get enough use in my craft room. Makes me feel better about the stamps I have bought and NEVER used ;)
Lots of pretty layers and four just like this for OWH.
Update: So excited to hear I have been tagged as a sketch inspiration by OWH the stamp set is Fresh Vintage by Stampin Up. I found a few of them on Etsy and Ebay or here" The pink DP is just something from my scrap bin, layered on black, another wider strip of white layered on black behind that.
I am embrassing the CASE. My goal is to send lovely cards to soldiers so they can tell someone at home they are thinking of them. My goal is not orignal design. Some people write music and others play it...I play ;) What I usually do is pick a stamp set and check it out in the split coast stampers gallery or Pinterest - find a few I like and shut the craft room door.

Blue for you
I have gotten a lot of mileage out of this My Mind's Eye paper pack. This card came together quickly with a sketch from Mojo Monday.

Lovely Bags Week
I have been on a bag kick this weekend. Friday was a special anniversary of sorts so I made a treat for the guy that has been eating up my crafty time ;)
Hand made treats for men are really difficult for me. Since we met at a symphony concert I made music the theme.
Starting from the bottom was a nice scalloped red liner from paper source. I layered black and striped paper to form the background. The rounded edges of black and red embossed with a music sheet topped with a scalloped edge and a great black felt ribbon.
A simple stamped piece of music on pink to kind of lighten up a bit.
I tied some black and white twine and tied in a wire heart to make it feel sweet.
For the card, I really wanted it to coordinate but not be a duplicate.
On the top is a Love stamp embossed and punched in a circle layered on a great nestabilitie die. I can't remember where the heart paper came from but I layered it on black and rounded those edges, too. That same felt was repeated and a couple big pretty hearts popped on for more sweetness.

This is one of my favorite sketches and I go to it often. This time I used some Inkadinkadoo inchie stamps. Pretty layers, a bit of twine that came from a swap - and that Stampin Up set for sentiments is the perfect finish for this card.
