Serene Masking

I am pretty sure this was a Pinterest case, but I am not too sure.  The white area is left because I punched a piece of scrap paper and used a tiny glue dot to hold it in place.  Then I inked over it.  I think the irregularities of it all really help make the feeling of a sky.  Then I used a little matching DP scrap paper for the top and bottom, added a SU punch and sentiment and coordinating brads.

Pink Masking

Masking is a technique used to only allow a portion of the surface to take the stamp/color/treatment. Lots of great Youtubes out there on how to do this well. Just a note...the 2.5" stampin up circle punch does not punch acetate...mine is in the freezer hoping it pulls in a bit to release the acetate. Direct to paper stamping is always stressful for me, but for a clean and simple card - it can't be beat. Photobucket
