OWH A Year in Review
Once again us hoppers and bloggers with OWH are putting together a list of our favorite cards of the year. While I am proud of having donated over 1000 cards to OWH this year - I am more proud of some other things. Brought a friend to the OWH dark side ;) Auditioned for and made a few design teams. I also had a little recognition within OWH which felt great!... I was a sketch card sample maker and even a Featured Card Maker one week.
Sandy asked us for goals... I am certainly looking for more great design team options. This year I have learned, digital is not for me. But I am so open to other opportunities.

This card shows where I am learning to layer stamps. Also is made with a paper pack I bought because I liked it - rather than I thought it would be good for X Y or Z
This was the start of a CASE way of card making for me. I learned this year that CASING a card is just like a pianist playing music written by someone else.
If you peek at last years top ten, there is also a collection on there. I am a coordinating fool!
This technique was a Gina K special using wax paper. I tried this first on a long crafty weekend with my mom.
I am getting over my fear of Copics, with a little help from Granny
I tried new techniques like embedded embossing and masking.
This is one of the many cards I have used my cricut to send kid friendly cards
This is an example of how I am learning to match not just the papers together but also the paper with the image and the season.

ReplyDeleteWow, 1,000 cards? And bringing in a friend, even better. I love your cards, they have such an elegant look to them! In answer to your question about two of my cards, I did make the green background on the Thank You card using alcohol inks. In the beachy card, I layered printed vellum (with shells in white) over the craft cardstock. The image is stamped on a background someone made and sent to me.
