Cards in Envy Sketch #6

Are you loving these Operation Write Home friendly sketches?? I am sure am! I am walking in the Avon Breast Cancer walk in June and need a lot of thank you cards (NOT complaining that I have A LOT of generous friends and family who have supported me in the walk) I have been using the sketches and challenges at CIE as inspiration for many of them. This one fit the My Favorite Things image perfectly so I couldn't wait to put it together. Papers by Me and My Big Ideas....no jokes, people!! So hop over to Cards in Envy and link up your card based on this sketch.... then mail it to OWH so some soldier can tell someone back home they are loved. Photobucket

Father's Day on My Mind's Eye

My Mind's Eye paper pack was the inspiration for this set of pretty cards. I don't do as many of the masculine cards as some. But I sure do try for Father's Day. My brother lives in Wyoming and is a real old cowboy. This horse stamp had me thinking of him. I think these are the kinds of cards that one of his four boys just might give to dad. Photobucket

MME World Travel Series: Open Seas

Those OWH folks inspire me all the time... All. The. Time. I read this post on using 6x6 packs to make a stack of cards. I was so inspired to get started. I love my 6x6 packs and really need to use more and hoard less. In one night I made 5 cards - 4 sketchs in 3 hours. I really enjoyed the process. Over the next few days (weeks if I keep going) I will share what I made. Here is the paper pack Teresa Collins designed it for MME...no wonder it speaks to me! I love her style.
I used Stampin Up's Open Seas for that little compass just simply layered on circles... Hope you enjoy and are inspired to dust off a 6x6 paper pack and get started! And Mojo Monday's sketch #150 Photobucket

Pinteresting...

Yet again. I used a card from pinterest as the inspiration to make a birthday card for this weekend.
I used My Mind's Eye for the peach/orange layers and Miraposa is that butterfly everyone knows. And goodies from my two favorite etsy shops - all the trim and that amazing black half back pearl trim from Paper Bag Lady. Those big amazing velvet BoBunny flowers? Closeoutgirl Stampin up punches and stamps & gold smooch Martha's butterfly punch Recollection's black flourish and big pearl brad from the bridal section Gold brad from My Mind's Eye The inside sentiment is from My Favorite Things
Here is the card that inspired me tonight:
