A Pretty Good Bye

One more retirement at the office this month.  A lovely woman, who also happens to be quite crafty herself.  So, you know I had to make it extra pretty for her.  For this card I really leveraged the beautiful paper and let that take center stage.  This is a DCWV pack, I believe designed by Susan Winget.  I took some vintage photo to the edges..  I really wanted to play with the 'aged but pretty' look.

The pearl and acetate flouris were to help pull your eye from the bird to the pretty embellie on the side.  On the right I used a piece of doily that I inked up as a center for the rosette, button and bling.  I love that little tower of pretty.  The kind of thing you just can't mail!
To kind of 'ground' the card and help with that eye flow I used a small strip of pink - that was the reverse and crinkled that up and hit it with the ink again.
Finally, of course, I added some of that luscious Rumple Ribbon - butter cream.  I just have really loved working with this.  If you haven't yet, pick up some at the shop.
